Sec. of State of Digital Affairs meets the French Tech Shanghai

Last Saturday, June 23rd, on the occasion of the visit of French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe in Shanghai, la French Tech Shanghai was honored to talk with the delegation led by French Secretary of State of Digital Affairs Mounir Mahjoubi and Director of la French Tech Kat Borlongan. This precious meeting was held at XNode Jing’An Space, a Corporate - Startup Innovation Accelerator and partner of La French Tech Shanghai.

The meeting began with a short speech of Zhou Wei, founder and CEO of XNode, presenting the activities of XNode and its cooperation with several French companies such as Pernod Ricard China, Sodexo, AXA, l’Atelier BNP ParisBas and Auchan.

Next, moderated by Frank Desvignes, founder of AXA Asia Lab, a panel was held with Olivier Marescq - senior project manager of Pernod Ricard - andThomas Delalande - innovation manager of Immochan. They discussed about what French multinationals are already doing with start-ups in Shanghai and how they could even more contribute in the future. The Carevoice, one pépite (start-up considered with great potential) of La French Tech Shanghai, shared his experience as a good example in terms of collaboration between start-ups and big enterprises.

Then, Stephane Monsallier, co-founder of La French Tech Shanghaipresented the creation and activities of the hub. Pascal Duriez and Gregory Prudommeaux continued the speech by talking about the unique business model of the hub with sponsors and open pitches aiming to accelerate the growth of excellent French Start-ups.

We appreciate greatly this exchange opportunity and are looking forward to participating in building the new roadmap of la French Tech!
